The Biggest Mistake most Studio owners make is assuming that for their special environment they do not need a special insulated room.
Commercial room freezers operate at 40-70 degrees below an average indoor ambient temperature of 70 F. Restraunts do this with a Refrigerator section and a Walk-in Freezer comprised of 4-6" of urethane foam.
That is exactly how a yoga room should be constructed-a complet vapor barrier and a thermal insulation with radiant insulation which provides a R value of 40 or more.
Dont just throw a heater into a room and think it will just hit your target temperature. Help reduce carbon emissions and Global Warming by building a responsible, efficient and affordabe Yoga room with lots of fresh air and precise humidity and temperature control.
Many yoga rooms are just thrown together with heat just dumped in and humidity pumped in which eventually damages the building they are so haphazardly installed in.
Fiberglass insulation is mostly useless in hot humid environments and will harbor Mold and Mildew and odor as much as a wet carpet.
At least you can see black mold on a carpet eventually.
We advocate SIP panel construction such as availabel through Murus Sip panels and other fine companies.
A 6" Sip Panel room can come in 24' x 8' wall sections and be constructed in a few hours compared to typical 2 x 4 or 2 x 6 construction, with cam lock connections your yoga room is built in 1-2 days and ready for finishing.

For smaller residential yoga rooms it is suggested that the construction be foamed with spray in foam and they covered with sheetrock or wood. Some sucessful designs incorporated 2 inches of foam and a layer or more of LOW E radiant insulation. with a small fored air furnace and steam humidifier as the basis for the heat system. more delux rooms comprise of a Energy Recovery Syetem with UV light banks to destroy odors, molds or pathogens and incorporate some of our proprietary controls to keep it all in balance.
For less expensive home hot yoga setups we offer portable radiant or fan forced heaters with outstanding portable humidifiers to make you sweat.
